The WAU Roots Association, Inc team is committed to building a vibrant community in Wau through civic engagement and social empowerment. As a non-profit organization, we strive to promote good citizenship and foster collaborative efforts that enhance the well-being of our residents.
Wau Roots Association, founded on August 15, 2023, is a registered not-for-profit organization under 501(c)(3) of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code. Our mission is to make a meaningful impact in the areas of charity, health, and education while advocating for essential social support. Based in New Hampshire, we operate under the Nonprofit Corporation Act, with offices both in the United States and the Republic of South Sudan.

limitations of negative traditional mindsets such as individualism, tribalism, and covetousness. Our mission is to foster positive change in our own lives and in the lives of others. Wau Roots is a charitable association, for people living in the diaspora and the people of Western Bhar El-Ghazal State in the Republic of South Sudan. Membership is open to all, embracing the diversity and richness of our region. Wau Roots is a non-political and non-religious movement, providing a safe space for all. We respect and value each member's activities and beliefs, fostering an environment of mutual understanding and acceptance.
As members of this organization, we are bound by a common belief that together, we can surmount any challenge that life presents. Our aim is to alleviate the burdens of our people. Our values of solidarity, respect, and reconciliation serve as our compass on this journey. Our unity provides us with a true meaning of Eyal Wau (Children of Wau).
